Hi, I'm Kelly Murphy, a good ol' country gal from Kentucky. That's where I spent Christmas Break. Actually, I go up there everytime I get a chance. Thanks to Barnes and the research paper he assigned last semester I didn't get to go over Thanksgiving. BUMMER!! However, it made me appreciate the time with my family and friends even more! I was expecting to see snow, but that didn't happen. I still got to go ice skating with my dog, brother, sister, nephew, and mom. It was a blast. I'm going to try to upload a pic of me, Lacey, and my brother Alex. I can't explain how much those two mean to me.

Well, I teach 1st grade at NB Cook. I was really scared to begin teaching 1st grade. I couldn't figure out how I would teach the kids to read, but I was amazed when I came back from Christmas break and all the kids were reading. It just happened. It wasn't even that hard, but it was a lot of fun. Three years later I'm still teaching 1st grade. I love it. Unfortunately, I'll be leaving NB Cook at the end of the year. Fortunately, I'll be living in Kentucky next school year. Hopefully with a job teaching 1st grade or special ed.
