Good Afternoon (evening, maybe). My name is Cameron Venuti and I currently feel like I am in the midst of an identity crisis. I am about to become an evil, wicked Step-Grandmother in the next week or so which is exciting yet mind-blowing at the same time. I began a new career avenue at work this year and am now functioning as a Literacy Coach. This is pretty wonderful in that I am paid to become more knowledgeable in the area of Reading, yet I find that I am working myself crazy in fear that others might perceive me as not working. And I, like you am anticipating a grand graduation in December. Just 2 more classes and 1 portfolio to go…BUT I MUST FIND TIME SOMEWHERE TO ACCOMPLISH ALL THIS!!! Anyhow, I spent eleven years teaching students identified as Seriously Emotionally Disturbed or Emotionally Handicapped, two years teaching Intensive Reading and English, and now am learning to assist educators, hopefully. Academically, I graduated from University of Maryland, European Div. with an AA in Liberal Arts in 1994 and then graduated from University of West Florida in 1996 with a degree in Special Education for Emotionally Handicapped.
